About Us
Supporting Our Youth was created from the belief that mentorship can change a life. Growing up, positive role models stepped in when we were headed the wrong way, and their guidance made a real difference. SOY will exist to offer the same support to the next generation. OUR COMMITMENT
Supporting Our Youth (S.O.Y.) is a community-based after-school mentorship program focused on supporting and empowering young people through positive role models, academic help, and life-skills development. The program provides a safe place for youth after school, offering homework support, mentoring, career readiness guidance, and community outreach activities that help young people see there is more to life than negative influences.
Mentorship that Meets Youth Where They Are
ACADEMIC GUIDANCE
This foundation will support students with academic guidance, encouragement, and help staying on track in school. The goal is to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond.
CAREER READINESS
This foundation is being created to help young people get ready for jobs and life. It will focus on teaching basic skills like being on time, appropriate dress, responsibility and interview prep.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
This foundation is being created to support the community through back-to-school drives, donated attire for prom or formal dances, and meals during school breaks. The goal will be to meet real needs and support youth and families.
LIFE-SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
This foundation is being created to help young people with basic life skills like responsibility, communication, and making good choices. The goal is to prepare them for adulthood and the real world.
EMPOWERING POTENTIAL
This foundation is about giving young people hope, direction and support. By reaching them wherever they may be in life and meeting real needs and teaching life skills, we will help youth believe in themselves, live up to their full potential and see a positive future ahead.
SAFE ENVIRONMENT
This foundation will be a safe and supportive space for all youth. We believe young people do best when they feel like they matter, they are respected, cared about and encouraged.
This foundation is being created to connect young people with caring adults who can guide, encourage, and support them. Having positive role models helps young people make good choices.

This foundation is being created to make a difference that continues over time. By pouring into our youth today, we hope to help them grow into confident aduls who will give back and strengthen their communities.
